Daemon Settings

  • Allow job to fail if daemon no longer responds: If "yes" is set, jobs are marked as failed (FAIL) by the scheduler if the life cycle of the processing daemon runs into a timeout.
  • Restart job when daemon reconnects: If "yes" is set, running jobs are set to "NEW" when the processing daemon reconnects.
  • Maximum number of delays per job: A number > -1 limits the number of automatic restarts per job.
  • 2.2.2+: Noncritical job runtime: For values > -1, a warning is displayed on the user interface and possibly by email if jobs run for longer than the specified time in minutes.
  • 2.2.2+: Job jam warning level: For values > 0, a warning is issued on the user interface and possibly by e-mail if the number of new jobs without a running daemon for a cluster exceeds the specified value.
  • 2.2.2+: Mail jam warning level: With values > 0, a warning is displayed on the user interface if the number of new mails without a running daemon exceeds the specified value.
    • A warning is also issued if the number of mails that could not be sent exceeds the specified value.
  • List of known connection problems: Exceptions whose occurrence is assumed to be a connection problem. For details, see here.
  • Waiting time in seconds after a connection problem: Waiting time in seconds until the call is repeated after a connection problem.
  • Number of retries in the event of connection problems: Maximum number of retries for connection problems.
