Measures when updating PTC® Windchill®

Changes to PTC® Windchill® have an impact on IFConneX and must therefore be taken into consideration.

The update can be a minor release (update) or a major release (upgrade). For example, an update of Windchill® involves a change from the minor release 11.1 M010 to 11.1 M020 or from version 12.0.1.0 to 12.0.2.0. An upgrade, on the other hand, changes the system from a major release, such as the 10.x version, to a newer major release, such as 11.x or 12.x.

In both cases, certain measures must be observed before, during, and after the installing the new version, to ensure the correct functioning of IFConneX.
