The WT Safe Area is a standard mechanism in Windchill. IFConneX extends your Windchill configurations so it is recommended to use the WT Safe Area.

The WT Safe Area can be used to safely store copies of customized versions of PTC files. Like this, they will not be overwritten by the Windchill Service Pack Installer during updates.
